The ones I found were either ugly, too simple or overpriced.

Why do people feel the need to sell their scraps.

In today's economy folks just don't have the extra bucks to buy stuff like this.

I give my stuff freely

I love to create & I love to share what I create.

People either love it or hate it

Either way just help yourself & enjoy.

These preview makers will only be distributed on request.

Ballet Class--A Letter, A Kit & Tutorial

This tutorial was written by me.

This is what we will be making.

Supplies needed:
Graphic program of choice
Get an older version of Paint Shop Pro FREE here:
My scrap kit "Ballet Class"

I have a supply file which includes the following
Tubes.
A Gold Pattern
A Texture
I used BalletEngraved Font
A color pallette.
My misted image.
Everything was crafted by me:
They are FTU--Be my guest.
If possible please credit me. "SkinnizScrapz&Stuff".
It is assumed you have the basic knowledge of creating with Paint Shop Pro, or equivalent.
OK Let's get started.

Background Color #247F82
Foreground Color #EED7CA

Open Paper 8
Duplicate and close original
Resize to 700 x 700
Promote Background layer
Add A rayster layer
Select All
Open Paper 4
Copy/Paste into selection
Resize 80% Smartsize All Layers unchecked
Add a new Layer
Open Paper 6
Copy/Paste into selection
Select None
Repeat resize
Go to Paper 4 Layer
Image--rotate--free rotate--right 10--all boxes unchecked
Add a drop Shadow
-2/-2 65/15 Black
Got to Paper 4 Layer
Image--Rotate--free rotate --left 15--all boxes unchecked
Open Frame 2 Copy frame layer & paste as new image close original
Resize 500x500 pixels smartsize Lock Aspect Ratio UNchecked all layers checked
Paste as new layer into your canvas
Image rotate--free rotate--right 10--all boxes unchecked.
Repeat Drop shadow from above
Save your image
Minimize for now:

Open Doilie 1
Use Magic Wand
Mode Add Tolerance 50 Sample merged Feather 0
Click center circle
add a layer
Open your Ballerina Mist
Copy Mist layer
Paste into selection
Deselect/Merge layers
Open Main Canvas
Copy/Paste into your original Image
Add A sharp drop shadow
2/2 65/1 Black
Repeat drop shadow
-2/-2 65/1 black
Save your image.

Embellish as you like.
I have included some pieces I used when making my letter.

I have been away quite some time. I lost a hard drive that had everything I collected for 12 years. I was pretty devastated & decided to take a break. My BFF got me into Facebooking but I'm pretty burned out with that, so decided to go back & try to be creative. I have very little left to work with, but managed to Put a couple letters together. Most of the links I had are no longer valid. Alot of sites have shut down.

Supplies needed:
PSP 8 (My Preference) But should be able to be done in any version.
Get a older version for free here:
Header you just made.
Open your header in PSP.
Use Selection tool
Click on custom settings box
Use these settings
Top 0 Left 0 Right 25 Bottom 450

Click ok
Copy Paste as new image
Canvas size W 50 H 450 Left Center Box Checked

Click ok
Layer Duplicate
Image mirror
Layers merge
Image Canvas Size W 1400 H 450

Click OK
Add a new layer fill with #CCC88F
Send to bottom
Adjust Add Noise
Uniform 15%

Click on top layer
Add drop shadow
V 0 H15 Opacity 60 Blur 30 Color Black Shadow on New Layer CHECKED.
Click on top Layer
Effects Image Effect Seamless Tiling
Corner/Vertical/V Offset 0 Transition 50

Click Ok
Click on shadow layer
Use same settings but change to edge and W to 50.
Click ok
Hide bottom layer
Click top layer
Merge visible
Unhide bottom layer
Duplicate top layer
Image mirror
Merge all
Save as .jpeg
I compress at 25.

Assemble with header in letter creator.

Filters Unlimited here:
Scrap Kit by Scrappy Days (included in the supply file).
All Misc elements crafted by me:
These include the The Mist, Paper Clip, 2 Doilies, Gold Overlay, Picture Frame,
Journal Pages & 2 Tags.

I used EastSide Font included
I also included a color pallette.

Open Blank Canvas 700 x 700 (resize later)
Fill with BG Color
Open Gold Overlay-Copy-Paste as new layer
Add drop shadow

H/V 1 opacity 80 blur 1.5 color black
Open Doilie 01 copy/paste as new layer
Move to lower right of canvas
Open Doilie 02 copy/paste as new layer
Move to upper left of canvas
Open Scrap Kit by Fae
Copy Straight Stitches
Paste as new layer
Move to upper top of canvas

image flip
merge the 2 layers

image rotate 90
make edges meet
erase any extra edges for a smooth connect.

Use deform tool to stretch stitiches to inside edge of gold overlay

The following post is a tribute to my dad who passed on July 1st, 2008.
He was 82.

This is my Eulogy:

My father was a True Boy Scout
My father was Trustworthy-
If he said he would do something he did it.
My father was Loyal-
He was at my mother's side for 59 years
and mine for 50
My Father was Helpful-
My father was a tinker.
He could fix anything as long as he had his hammer.
My father was Friendly-
They called him "Pete"
My father was Courteous-
No elbows on the table
My father was Kind-
I kept bringing home strays & he let me keep them.
My father was Obedient-
Always did what mom told him to.
My father was Cheerful-
I heard him Whistling often
My father was Thrifty-
He liked the heels of a loaf of bread.
My father was Brave-
Killed spiders with ease.
My father was Clean-
His shoes were always polished.
I remember those metal pant shapers that hung in the cellarway.
Gave his pants the perfect crease.
The smell of Old Spice in the air.
My Father was Reverent-
Was always in the front pew on Boy Scout Sunday.
Mowed the grass at the church.

My father was a True Boy Scout
He was a Leader, teacher. mentor and friend.

My father was always tan.
He loved the sun & the earth. & it's Natural resources.

My father loved smoking his pipe
& I remember How upset mom got with the holes in his pant pockets caused by him sticking it in his pockets..
We used to go to the smoke shop & dad would get his special cherry blend tobacco.

I remember my dad coming home for lunch & making his "Dagwood".
He would Take a nap in a snap & 20 minutes later was fresh as a daisy.
Said it Was a trick he learned in the Navy.

My Father Loved his country. Talked with fondness of his Navy Days.

He was always warm. It was dead of winter and he'd be in shorts while my mom & me were bundled in comforters. Said we made him hot just looking at us.

His greatest advise: Put "it" around my neck so I'd know where "it" was.

My father was a true boy scout

His Boys were his life.
He received his wood badge in 1972
His silver beaver award was given to him in 1975.

I remember a trip cross country where we met him at Philmont.
He got off the bus was wearing sunglasses & had a beard.
I told my mom that was Dad.
Mom said "That Old Man is not your father"
But when he kissed her she knew that was my dad.
He kept the beard after that.

My father loved his pets.
He now will be taking long walks with
Smoky, Itty, Pompy, Tubby, Lickem, McDuff, Fiddler, Timmy & Teddy.

My father loved the Outdoors
He'll no doubt be a guardian of the smoky mountains.
It Was a place that brought him fulfillment.
He'll fly overhead in one of his many airplanes that he loved to build.
Or sail in the wind on the river of heaven.
Be giving knot tying lessons or engine repair advice
So my Dad It's time to say see u later............
& I'd like to read you this poem...........

When I've come to the end of the day
And the sun has set for me
I want no sorrow in a gloom filled room,
Why cry for a soul set free
Miss me a little, Remember me when...
And not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love, the joys we shared
Until we meet again
For this is a journey we all will take
Each of us alone.
It's part of his plan,
This journey, back home.
Our soul the good lord shall take.
